Big Words is a flashcard vocabulary training application for Google Android.
Every week for one year, starting from Tuesday 25th August 2009, we introduce 52 new words. As well as a definition, we provide a sentence using the word for better understanding.
Each package features 52 words. If you have missed out on previous weeks, you can download them here. The latest one is always available on Google Android Market but due to the way the upgrade works, you need to come here to download previous weeks' upgrades.
Instructions on how to install these applications are below the links.
To install these packages, you need to go to Settings/Applications and tick the box that says "unknown sources". What this means is that you allow your phone to install applications from other sources than Google Android Market.
You may only have one instance of the application installed at once, meaning only one week may be installed at once.
If you have previously installed a more recent version of the app, you need to uninstall it. Go to Settings/Applications/Manage applications then select "Big Words" and click Uninstall.
To download, simply click on one of the links above. Once it's downloaded, click on it and it will install it, provided that you have followed the steps above.
